I finally got tired of manually running shell scripts to spin up new isolated environments. I hooked up Jenkins to automate deployments across my Alpine and FreeBSD nodes.

The pipeline pulls the latest config from my read-only Codeberg mirror, validates the syntax via a lightweight C binary, and pushes the build to the homelab.

The C Validator

Since I refuse to pull in massive environments just to parse a config string, here is the core logic in C:

#include <stdio.h>
#include <stdlib.h>

int main(int argc, char *argv[]) {
    if (argc < 2) {
        fprintf(stderr, "Usage: %s <config_path>\n", argv[0]);
        return EXIT_FAILURE;
    }

    // Core validation logic

    printf("Config OK.\n");
    return EXIT_SUCCESS;
}
